About Ahava birth co

I live in Holland, Michigan with my husband, baby girl Eleanor, and our dog, Yampa. I have lived in Michigan for 3 years now, but am a Colorado native at heart. We love being outside, spending time with family, and exploring new places.

With the birth of my baby, I was hit with how powerful birth can be (for better or for worse). In the end, we had a healthy mom, healthy baby, and an overall positive experience; but, I was left with frustration for things not going to plan. 

I turned to birth doula work recognizing that this is the case for many families. My goal as a doula is to support you in achieving the most empowering and satisfying birth experience possible. Sometimes your labor goes to plan and sometimes it doesn't. No matter what, you will have an advocate and champion for your birth!

My heart lies with under-resourced families. All women deserve a positive and empowering birth. Advocacy should not be a luxury and my goal is to make that a reality.
